About this chocolate bar:

Like single origin coffee beans, the single origin chocolate bar is made of cocoa beans from a single cocoa farm to exhibit its unique flavour characteristics. Lemuel Chocolate made the chocolate bar with only cocoa beans & organic cane sugar, no nasty additives & chemicals. The cleanest & purest chocolate bar!

The Association of Integrated Development “OX EEK” Santa Maria Cahabón (ADIOESMAC), founded in 2004, cultivates and sells cacao, cardamom, cinnamon, and chilli peppers.

Perched on a mountaintop overlooking the extensive jungled hills of the Cahabón region, the association processes cacao using cascading wooden fermentation boxes and a combination of greenhouse dryers, raised bamboo decks, and drying patios.

The association has continued to plant more cacao every year with support from the Ministry of Agriculture and various NGOs; most of the cacao planted is reforesting areas of “milpa” or corn and bean production, and children of the association members are starting to take over cacao production and processing for their parents.

This Guatemala chocolate has toffee tasting note, like toasted cookies & nutty notes.

All chocolate bars are tempered chocolate & individually wrapped with an additional protective layer, hence it does not melt easily and is safe to ship. We recommend leaving the chocolate bar aside overnight at room temperature once you receive it and the chocolate bar will be perfect to consume the next day.
