About this chocolate bar:
Like single origin coffee beans, the single origin chocolate bar is made of cacao beans from a single Malaysian farm to exhibit its unique flavour characteristics.
This chocolate bar is made of cacao beans from My Liberica Coffee Plantation in Kulaijaya, Johor. Yes, My Liberica also produces high quality cacao beans too! A year before COVID, we had the pleasure of visiting and working with a coffee-cacao plantation in Johor. In the interest of polyculture, where cacao is cultivated next to matured Liberica coffee trees.
Once harvested, coffee and cacao are fermented and dried side by side in the same space. Beans are hand sorted at the farm and again at our roastery, then stone-ground into dark chocolate with the intention of expressing a profile that is innate to this Southern-most region.
It has very sweet notes of toffee & hazelnut notes, finishing with panela sweetness on the aftertaste.

All chocolate bars are tempered chocolate, hence it does not melt easily and is safe to ship. We recommend leaving the chocolate bar aside overnight at room temperature once you receive it and the chocolate bar will be perfect to consume the next day.
