About this coffee :

The Mierisch Family is a Nicaraguan coffee producer since 1908, with farms perched in the beautiful mountains of Matagalpa and Jinotega. The private auction “Los Favorites” was born in 2013 as an initiative to show the world the exquisiteness and allure of the coffees produced by Fincas Mierisch in Nicaragua.

The Ethiosar is a stable hybrid plant and is a cross of an Ethiopian variety (Rume Sudan) with a Sarchimore (a cross of a Villa Sarchi with a Timor variety) the offspring of this plant is then crossed once again with a Villa Sarchi (an improved Caturra / Bourbon from Costa Rica).

The Timor variety is the robusta variety used to produce ALL the catimor's. In short, it only has a very small% of Catimore's in it, thus making it very resistant to rust in most parts of the world. The Rume Sudan is a very old variety of Typica from Ethiopia. Both Rume Sudan and Villasarchi are known for their excellent cup characteristics.

This natural processed Ethiosar is fruity & very sweet, roasted medium and great to brew with both espresso & filter. You'll get a juicy note of melon & lime gummy like aromatics, finish with honey sweetness. A great pick for a morning espresso.
