Fresh coffee beans

Buying fresh coffee beans, answered

The questions people ask before their first bag, answered from how we roast and ship.

Where can I buy fresh coffee beans in Malaysia?

From our roastery in Kuala Lumpur. We roast our own coffee to order six days a week, print the roast date on every bag and ship within 24 hours of roasting. Peninsular Malaysia orders arrive within 2 days of dispatch, with free shipping from RM80; Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan ship free from RM150.

How fresh are your coffee beans?

We roast our own coffee to order in Kuala Lumpur, six days a week, and print the roast date on every bag. Each bag ships within 24 hours of roasting, so it reaches you days after roasting, not months. Coffee tastes best from about day 7 to day 30 after roasting, so the whole window is yours.

How do I know coffee beans are fresh?

Look for a roast date, not a best-before date. A best-before date is set months ahead and says nothing about when the coffee was roasted. Beans taste best from about day 7 to day 30 after the roast date, and after that the aroma fades. More in our roast date guide.

Which coffee beans should I start with?

For espresso and milk drinks, start with Shipper Blend: RM39 for 300g, about RM1.95 a cup at 15g. For filter, try Indonesia Ijen. Not sure? The four-question quiz matches a coffee to how you brew.

Can you grind the beans for me?

Yes. Choose whole bean or a grind for your brewer at checkout (French press, drip, AeroPress, moka pot or espresso), at the same price. Whole beans stay fresh longer, so grind just before you brew if you can.

Do you deliver to Singapore?

Yes. Singapore orders ship from Kuala Lumpur by courier for RM15, or free from RM200, and usually arrive the next business day after dispatch. Prices are shown and charged in RM.
