About this coffee :
The Mierisch Family is a Nicaraguan coffee producer since 1908, with farms perched in the beautiful mountains of Matagalpa and Jinotega. The private auction “Los Favorites” was born in 2013 as an initiative to show the world the exquisiteness and allure of the coffees produced by Fincas Mierisch in Nicaragua.
Pacamara is a hybrid of two coffee varietals: Pacas, which is a Bourbon mutation, and Maragogipe, which is a Typica mutation. It was developed in El Salvador in the mid-twentieth century. The mixture at its best produces very deep, brothy flavours that always seem reminiscent of dark fruit like plums, raisins and prunes.
This lot comprises only the peaberry of Pacamara, which is a considerably rare type of coffee! This coffee has fruity notes of kumquat and sarsaparilla, hints of macadamia note that makes a lovely morning cuppa.
