Alishan is a range on Taiwan's spine, averaging 2,500 meters in height and with the highest peak Datashan (大塔山) reaching 2,663 meters. Taiwan's highest mountain, Yushan (3,952m) is easily visible from Alishan on a clear day. This area is famed in producing one of the highest quality tea in the region, now it also produces the highest quality coffee beans you can find in Taiwan.
Lead by 方政倫, he decided to return home to help up his father's farm in the year 2000, starting from ground zero and learn everything about coffee. In 2007, he began to send his coffee beans to local competition. Since then, his coffee beans has been winning dozens of competitions, the locals call him the Prince of Coffee.
This is a natural Gesha varietal coffee beans. Coffee cherries are handpicked and only deep red ripe cherries are picked. Coffee cherries in whole are washed in a flotation tank to remove any floating beans, then its put on a raised bed & sundried for 14 to 21 days, depending on the weather.
This coffee is soothing as a cloud, every sip as though it brings you to Alishan highland. Lovely floral qualities of chrysanthemum, sugarcane & pear fruitiness, finish with red jade black highland tea like finish, the classic notes of Taiwanese coffee. This Gesha coffee is meant to slowly sip till the very last drop, the perfect evening coffee to enjoy with sunset.

Very floral on first sip , follow by fruity and sweet aftertaste.
The beans roasted on 29 July and I kept it till 22 Aug hoping it will be settled by then. However still not quite smooth as yet. Brew with clever dripper with 1 to 16 ratio extraction (4 mins) and water usung 91 segregasi temperature. Shall try agam in another week or two
Nice and light but too pricey.
