About this coffee:
Finca La Clarita is situated north of Río San Antonio, and east of Quebrada Congoja. The coffee farm is at the elevation of 1700-2100masl with a growing temperature of 18-27ºC.
The coffee was picked and hand sorted to leave only the ripest cherries, then left to ferment in tanks with CO2 added to achieve a Carbonic Maceration, after 4 days, it was gently washed and left to dry on raised beds until the ideal moisture level was reached.
Caturron varietal is rare and not found easily in Colombia. The name Caturrón came from a tradition in Spanish to call -ON to bigger things, and this “Caturra” had bigger cherries than the other ones, then it was named Caturrón. this coffee is a completely rare experience in the cup, you will find things maybe you had never tried.
This coffee is very sweet with dried prunes & raisin stick sweetness, finish with lovely dark chocolate notes & a long aftertaste.
