About this coffee :
Finca El Morito is located in Mataquescuintla, Jalapa in Santa Rosa, Guatemala. A group of small producers created by Mr. Jose Roberto Monterroso created 20 years ago, with continuous growth year after year. Today, El Morito consists of more than 450 members.
El Morito offers a wide range of high quality coffees, from Fancy SHB's of the Jalapa region up to small micro-lots from selected areas of group members, washed and natural processed. Coffees from El Morito are Catuai, Pache San Ramon, Bourbon and Mundo Novo and grown at 1,400-2,000 meters.
Continuous improvement of their qualities brought them great success during the last years in the Cup of Excellence, winning the 2nd place in 2013 and both 3rd and 11th place in 2014.
We featured this coffee in our Blaq Coffee April tasting box! You'll get a front chocolate note with a twist of tanginess & hints of chrysanthemum floral qualities. Medium bodied coffee and make a velvety silky espresso. Good to brew on French Press too!
