Loved the Brazil SO from JWC in August box, but Ethiopia beans need a bit tweaking (typical Ethiopia beans, an acquired taste) from the original recipe to my preference with espresso brewing. The pack comes with a recipe, origin and altitude which assist on dialing in, could be better if it include roast level as well. Conclusion is that it's a good way to taste coffee beans from all over the world or to find your preferred taste profile, only thing is that the subscription came with monthly subscription only, would be perfect if i can subscribe every 2 weeks or more varieties in the pack e.g. 4 packs subscription.
Purchased 2 x 200G espresso grind and was really looking forward to try them out. Sadly to say, the coffee beans were not grounded fine enough (in contrast to the espresso grind by other roasters). I have wrote in my concern via email, but no response from them even after more than a week.
Both coffee types were so sour regardless what grind size and temp i used. I also brought both beans to my local coffee house, asked them to extract for espresso and brew using french press, the result still same. So sour. They concluded the beans itselves already gone bad before roasting. Please help to ensure this will not happened in future.
Coffee is great with distinct flavor. Enjoying it everyday.
Tried the Ethopian SO - my take is it fares better as filter coffee; but not espresso-based drinks. Instead found a more palatable option - lemon black (i.e. espresso + lemon water). What a surprise twist!
I'm ordered 2 packs of 200g, however i received 4 packs of 100g. Same meaning but different perspective.its okay..thanks beanshipper
It’s perfect. The aroma, the taste. Definitely loving the subscription.
I am really enjoying the new flavours arriving with the white box selection.
