About this coffee :

This coffee is dried on raised tables under shade nets. The producer is doing some selected quality lots like this as they believe it increases the quality and flavour intensity. And we think they do taste great as well. But it's not only the drying, they also do a very selective cherry selection and processing for these coffees to begin with.

Boji is a very interesting site and also one of our primary washing stations. We love the flavour profiles from this site and it is one out of 5 washing stations where the owner, Israel Degfa is doing sustainability programs and invest more in quality. They have registered farmer groups and are in the process of certification for rainforest alliance. They do second payment back to the growers and have a quality team to improve the coffees. One thing they implemented this year was flotation systems for all the cherries at arrival.

This is a smooth and soothing Ethiopian coffee. With light fruited notes of peach and pear, calming chamomile floral characteristics & lovely honey sweetness. Delicate, juicy, sweet and absolutely delicious.
