About this coffee :
Grown at an altitude of 1,800-2,040m the combination of this high altitude and iron-rich, fertile soil creates the ideal growing conditions to produce a bright, floral cup profile. It is processed and dried at the Bonde Kochere mill located in the Chelelktu area of Kochere in the Gedeo Zone.
The station employs 29 permanent workers and up to 530 during peak processing season. After purchase, coffee cherries are hand sorted and processed on the same day. Once it has reached the optimum moisture level, coffee is rested, milled, graded, picked by hand and finally bagged, ready for export.
This coffee has a unique fruitiness of banana and guava, more of flavours that resembles local tropical fruits. Its a delicate and smooth tasting coffee that's great for both espresso and filter brew.
Brewing Recipe :
18g of coffee yield to 36g of espresso
25 - 30 seconds
18g of coffee to 290ml of water
3 minutes. Yield 260-270ml
