About this coffee :

This coffee is from a Privately owned communal wet mill in Kochere (Yirgachefe), called Qore, after the kabele where it is located, collecting cherries from various smallholders. The washing station is owned by Israel Degfa. Qore means "sharp", as in sharp as a knife or sharp spikes on plants.

Many of Israel's washing stations are great just because of the location and altitude etc, but he is also investing in better systems and protocols in many of them. We are also buying improved naturals, honey coffees, and shade dried coffees from these washing stations.

Qore is located in very high altitudes in Yirgacheffe and is one of our primary washing stations for several reasons. They invest in quality having a specific team that works only with the specialty they produce at the site. They basically have two production lines, one for special prep and one for the normal grades 1-3. This is also one out of 5 washing stations where the owner, Israel Degfa is doing sustainability programs and invest more in quality.

This is quite a refreshing Ethiopian coffee. Great texture with lemongrass and jasmine floral qualities, very delicious clean coffee.
