About this coffee :
Produced by members of the Cobán Chicoj Cooperative and processed by the Black honey method, in which some fruit flesh (“honey”) was allowed to adhere to the beans during drying; certified fair-trade.
Honey processed coffee is rarely found in Guatemala, where locals would prefer washed processed that easily produce clean coffee. Black Honey Mucilage is left as close to intact as possible. Beans are dried on a raised bed in fully shaded condition and are not moved at all on the first day and are then raked once a day. Total drying time can take up to three weeks.
This coffee is super sweet and smooth. With orange notes that you hardly found in Guatemalan coffees, lovely honey sweetness with classic milk chocolate finish. A great coffee to kickstart your day.
