About this coffee :
Being one of the earliest and largest coffee farms in Kenya, the Catholic Arch Diocese of Nyeri are committed to stringent and attention to detail. The farm's purpose is to establish new churches and fund education. There are more than 23 Institutions which include Schools and Colleges, a Hospital, Seminaries and early childhood education centres.
The farm only hires well-trained people in quality harvesting methods to ensure the quality of coffee beans is maintained. Even during the peak of the harvest, an additional 2000 people were hired and well-trained. Also, only the ripest cherries are picked. Although the farm has a milling capacity of 10 tons every day, they still have to operate 24 hours a day during the peak of the season!
Over the years, they have assisted the local community by providing them with subsidized health and educational facilities. They aim to establish a new warehouse and hire another 100 employees in the short term.
This Kenyan coffee has lovely fruity floral qualities that make a juicy cuppa. The intense sweetness of berry candy, paired with red grape & red dates fruity note & finished with floral hints. A refreshing cuppa that makes the perfect cure for hot weather.
