About this coffee :

The Kamwangi Factory (wetmill) is one out of two wet mills of the “New Ngariama Cooperative Society” in Kirinyaga. They have proven to be very consistent on quality over the years, and have great systems for traceability and quality control.

Nyeri and Kirinyaga is known for coffees with intense, complex, and flavor-dense cup profiles. It is made up of mainly smallholder farms, each with some 100 trees. They are organized in Cooperative Societies that acts as umbrella organizations for the Factories (wetmills), where the smallholders deliver their coffee cherries for processing.

The coffees from Kirinyaga are more heavy and "classic" Kenyans with loads of black currant and dark berry flavors. Still with a high amount of intensity and complexity.

On first sip, you'll immediately get the blackcurrant and apricot notes that almost resemble ribena! With lovely honey sweetness and floral aftertaste. Quite a delightful coffee to enjoy!
