Grind size is quite consistent, got it cheap during the November sale, what I love the most is how easy to disassemble it for cleaning and to assemble it back together, recommended to get this for bringing it around and traveling between towns :)

Gets the job done...
I'm happy with the quality of the grind and the aesthetics of the grinder. Perfect for 1-2 cups of coffee - more than that, might land you a visit to the doctor's office for carpal tunnel syndrome :p. The sleek stainless steel exterior unfortunately makes it hard to grip, I had to pin it between my knees to keep the housing from turning with the handle. I don't think it's a deal breaker though, if I were to use it at home I could probably use an oven mitt or something to help with the grip, but I use it at the office.
You'll need a small brush to clean the burr properly, normal dishwashing sponge still leaves some black stains.
The grind size is set based on how many clicks you turn the adjusting nut - although the user manual gives you guidelines on the number of clicks for the different brew method, it's fun to experiment with it!

Best hand grinder, hands down
The Porlex Tall is built beautifully, handles well, and does its job wonderfully. The metal finish speaks quality, and the handling is superb. One problem that I've faced with other hand grinders is the handle attachments which are usually pentagon-shaped. The pentagon attachment wears very quickly, and soon grinding becomes impossible as there is no grip for the handle. The Porlex Tall has a horizontal (two-sided) attachment which minimizes wear and tear when using the grinder (the photos demonstrate this well). With good care and proper maintenance, this grinder should last for a long time.
Note: it comes with english instructions, which recommend 8 clicks for pour over. Try 5, might be better. Of course, experimenting as you wish!
Pros:
-amazing build quality
-beautiful look
-consistent grind consistency
-much better handle attachment, which minimizes wear and tear
-large capacity (for the Porlex Tall)
Downsides:
-price (but you get what you pay for)
-the slim shape and all-metal body might be hard to grip when grinding. This will cause your gripping hand to tire out fast. Not the fault of the grinder. To solve this, you could try some badminton grip on the grinder, to make it easier to hold.
-there is a slight wiggle room for the top ceramic burr to move, so it is advisable to grind with the grinder horizontal, or on a table. This would give you more even grind consistency.
-the ceramic burrs will collect debris and 'coffee dust', so it is advisable to blow the burrs clean after each grind (this might be due to static? common with all ceramic grinders)
