Jackfruit juiciness, Lychee, Blackberry, Red Date & hint of liquorice, juicy body
About this coffee:
My Liberica is the one and only specialty Liberica coffee bean producer in Malaysia. The Liew family takes full control from farm to cup, with their own coffee plantation, processing mill, roastery and an in house cafe that serves specialty Liberica coffee in Johor Bahru.
The Liberica Natural Processed coffee has a super intense sweetness of jackfruit fruity note, you can smell it the moment you open the bag! It makes a light delicate and complex cup, with some notes of blueberries on the aftertaste.
We recommend a lower brewing temperature of 93˚C and a coarser grind for the sweetest cup, best brewed with V60 and Syphon, same as how they serve in the cafe.
Brewing Recipe :
Filter 16g of coffee to 200ml of water 2-3 minutes, 93-95ºc brewing temperature
Roasted on 16th of January Ground pack & 200g pack coffee ship in 1-2 working days 400g & 1kg Pack fresh roast to order, ship within 3-6 working days

Very aromatic! Love this coffee a lot.
I brew with V60
This Liberica is my favorite coffee in the world. I liked the other two varieties, but this is so fruity and delicious. I will definitely be ordering more of this!
Very distinct jackfruit taste and aroma. Tried it when I was in Johor and very happy that I'm able to replicate the filter brew, as well as accentuate the taste for espresso.

Excellent! Very fragrant!
As suggested by the name itself. Strong hint of jackfruit. It’s all down to personal preference, still worth to give it a try.
Jackfruit is not a random name picked up for this coffee. Lives up to the name with it's strong jackfruit scent yet subtle and smooth finish at the end. Works well with filter drip brews and french press (though would recommend a longer immersion time for more extraction vs immediate sip fresh after brew).
I love the sweetness of this. Some might not like it if you can't stand the smell of jackfruit.
Very fruity with a tea after taste, it’s very akin to having an afternoon tea due to the smoothness, tea and fruity taste! Might not be everyone’s pick! If you prefer a medium roast with a smoother taste rather then bitter, than this is your perfect choice! Otherwise try it in a smaller quantity to see if it’s to your liking!
Love the brewing ratio and recept. Recommend to offer 100g up to 200g pack. The 1kg pack is too much to take in when the 200g is out of stock.

Like the aroma, will buy again
I am korean and moved to Malaysia a month ago for work.
One of the first thing that I'd wanted to find was good local coffee once I was dealing with settling.
It is not easy to go out and explore the city because of the situation with pandemic, so I searched for it online instead. This was the first local coffee package that I've ordered.
so you can Imagine how much I'd been looking forward to it.
I ordered roasted whole bean, I ground the bean and used mocha pot. This particular coffee comes with medium roast. As you might see from the photo, gorgeous gold brown colour, it has a very refreshing feature. I personally think that it is perfect summer taste!
I also thought of the making chocolate coated coffee beans with this one because I loved how lightly these roasted. I might give it a try. :)
Nice tantalising jackfruit aroma!!!
Brewed this coffee according to the recommended ratio in the page with the James Hoffman and Tetsu Kasuya V60 method. I must say the texture is more akin to tea imo. Personally not my cup of coffee unfortunately, I find the jackfruit aroma is too dominant especially when its hot. There seems to be a hint of grassy/woody notes when it is cooled. It might be more welcoming if there is more body to the cup, perhaps I am brewing it wrong? Would love to know if there's something I can change with my brewing.
It exceed my expectation (^-^)

I like the jackfruit aroma
We are amazed by the specialty coffee bean which is produced in Malaysia farm that has a unique intense sweetness of tropicana jackfruit fruity note. We enjoyed the coffee and many thanks to our coffee master friend who introduces this good coffee bean to us.
Smells amazing. Used a v60 on medium grind. The taste is nice but there's this really strong after taste in the coffee I'm not sure how to describe but tastes/smells grassy? Not sure if its the roast or my brewing method. Suggest to drink this iced instead, to reduce that aftertaste.
The aroma is superb...
The jackfruit taste too strong. It gave the impression of artificial flavor added into it.
Didn't like it. I thought like exotic coffee. The jackfruit is too overpowering , couldn't really taste the coffee. To me , it's so bad I had to throw more than half the pack away.
To be fair , I didn't use siphon or drip as per recommended. I used espresso machine. But it was horrible , I couldn't drink it black or with milk.
Roasting not consistent
Really wanted to support Malaysian specialty coffee.
Very very respectfully saying I really didn't like the taste. Likely too exotic for me. Jackfruit too overwhelming. was expecting a minor note / hint of flavor. But it's more me than the beans maybe.
I understand I didn't use the recommended brew method . i used my old workhorse Delonghi EC155. I just made a few cups and I'm not sure what to do with the remaining bag.
Apologies ahead to the roaster , I really like that you guys are doing something unique and new, the flavor it's there, it's really is, but i'm at the point where I can't finish the bag.
( for other buyers reading this, Maybe it's me , but if you really like exotic coffee and particularly jackfruit , maybe it might work for you)
This liberica coffee is going places. So proud of malaysian specialty coffee!
Nice jackfruit aroma, average taste.
My Liberica has come a long way in the past couple of years and this offering is a testament to that. Very distinct Jackfruit aroma and flavour. Your coffee cabinet will smell of these beans. Brewed with V60, it was fruity and sweet. I picked up jackfruit and lychees with a fresh lychee acidity. I love it. This is easily one of my favourites now. Will definitely get more in the future.
Espresso also ok
Used it for a latte. Wonderful flavours
Surprising good beans. Never know Malaysian beans can taste this good. Hope many more varieties from Malaysia like this.
The fruity taste balanced up the coffee, one cup is never enough!
