About This Coffee
Finca El Porvenir sits in the heart of the Palestina region in southern Huila, Colombia. Sandra Milena Mora and her husband Hector Coy bought the farm in 2006 and run it with real care. Of their 12 hectares they grow coffee on just five, leaving the rest as a natural reserve, with roughly 20,000 Caturra trees alongside Tabi and young Pink Bourbon.
The coffee is grown organically, with no chemical fertilisers or pesticides. Sandra makes her own organic fertiliser and is convinced the forest and wildlife around the farm benefit as much as the coffee does. Cherries are picked and sorted by hand, fermented for 36 to 48 hours, then washed carefully. The Caturra is pre-dried on raised African beds for about five days before finishing in a shade house over the following weeks.
Years of patient, detail-driven work show in the cup: this is a clean, sweet, organically farmed Colombian coffee with the kind of consistency that only comes from people who know their land.

How Much Coffee Is in a Bag?
At a filter dose of around 15g per cup, a 250g bag makes about 16 cups and the 1.5kg bag makes around 100 cups. That is roughly two weeks of single-cup mornings from the small bag, or a long, generous run of a genuinely special organic Colombian single origin from the large one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this coffee better for filter or espresso?
Filter. This is a light roast built for pour over and batch brew, where its dark chocolate, caramel and berry notes come through cleanly. You can pull it as espresso, but expect a brighter, more delicate shot than a darker roast.
What does Finca El Porvenir taste like?
Dark chocolate and caramel sweetness with a soft berry lift, a smooth rounded body and a clean finish. It is approachable rather than sharp, making it an easy daily single origin.
How fresh is the coffee?
We roast in Kuala Lumpur and ship within 24 hours. These beans are at their best two to three weeks after the roast date, so there is plenty of room to dial them in.
Any tips for getting the best cup?
Start at the recipe above: 24g coffee to 400ml water at 93°C over about three minutes. Adjust grind first, finer for more sweetness and body, coarser if it tastes harsh.
Do you offer free shipping?
