    About this coffee :

The coffee is a fully washed lot originating from Rantekarua Estate, Bittuang, situated in the Tana Toraja region of southern Sulawesi. Originally established by a Dutch company named Van Dijk, the estate underwent nationalization after Indonesia gained independence in 1945.

Over the subsequent decades, it became overgrown with forest until Kapal Api acquired the land in 1987 and undertook its rehabilitation. The estate encompasses a total area of 1200 hectares, with 700 hectares dedicated to coffee cultivation. On-site, there is a fully equipped wet mill utilizing Pinhalense equipment, and coffee beans are dried on raised beds under ample covering.

The standard processing procedures involve flotation, pulping, 24-hour fermentation, washing, soaking, and a drying period lasting between 14 to 21 days. In addition to the coffee grown on the estate, cherry and wet parchment are also sourced from external growers.

This is a smooth & clean coffee that makes your morning. Smooth apricot aromatics pair with chocolate in the mid tone, finish with lovely floral on the aftertaste.

    About Bumi:

“Bumi” means earth in Bahasa Indonesia. It is our take on a classic Indonesian profile. The coffees under Bumi taste profile have the same chocolatey, brown spices and sweetness that people like about Indonesian coffee but elevated with extra vibrancy and structure.

This year, we utilised a combination of full washed & honey methods as well as yeast-based inoculants
