The Falla family's coffee legacy in Guatemala dates back to 1890, when they began cultivating coffee in the Antigua valley. In 1962, Arturo Falla Cofiño, a third-generation family member, purchased a new farm named "El Tempixque" — an innovator as well as a coffee grower, he introduced shade-grown practices using Grevillea and Macadamia trees.

How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?+
This lot is roasted by Proud Mary on the date shown beside the size, and ships about one week after roasting — right as the beans enter their 2-to-3-week peak. Domestic orders typically arrive 1–3 business days after dispatch.
When is the coffee at its best?+
Beans need about 5 to 7 days to degas, then hold their peak from 7 to 30 days after the roast date printed on the bag. Keep the bag sealed, somewhere dark and room-temperature — never in the fridge.
Whole bean or ground?+
Whole bean stays fresh longest, so pick that if you have a grinder. If you don't, choose the grind that matches your brewer and we grind it right after roasting.
