Who we are

Bean Shipper is a coffee roaster in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Two coffee lovers started it in 2014 because they couldn't find the world's best roasts at home. For ten years we curated and shipped bags from international roasters to Malaysian doorsteps. In 2024 we lit our own drum. Today we roast our own coffee in Kuala Lumpur, to order.

What we stand for: fresh

Every bag of our own coffee is roasted to order, has its roast date printed on it, and leaves within 24 hours of roasting. The date is on the bag so you can check it yourself.

The numbers

• About 1,200kg a month, all of it roasted to order.
• 23 partner farms in ten countries, plus Malaysian-grown Liberica from Johor. We still bring in an international roaster each month.
• Dispatch, measured: of 229 orders of our own coffee placed 6–16 October 2026, half were dispatched within 21 hours of the order and 83% left the same or the next working day.
• 60+ cafés, offices and venues supplied across Malaysia and Singapore.
• 4.4 out of 5 from 4,297 verified-buyer reviews (29 October 2026).

The story, in three dates

• 2014. Bean Shipper starts as a curator and shipper of international roasters.
• 2014 to 2024. Ten years shipping the world's roasts to Malaysian homes. That is where the name comes from.
• 2024. Our own drum in Kuala Lumpur. The name now means something new: we roast it, and we ship it fresh.

What we sell

Blends built for milk drinks, single origins, bundles and a subscription for regulars, in whole bean or ground. Wholesale for cafés, offices and venues runs through coffeebeanshipper.com.

One-time orders ship free from RM80 in Peninsular Malaysia, RM150 to Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, and RM200 to Singapore. Subscriptions ship free anywhere in Malaysia.

What we do not claim

We don't say our coffee is the best or the freshest in Malaysia, and we make no health claims. We print the roast date and publish how quickly orders leave, so readers can judge for themselves.
