A dark-roast Colombian single origin built for body and sweetness
Eclipse is our most developed coffee: a washed Colombian single origin roasted dark to trade brightness for depth. Expect baker's chocolate, burnt sugar and smoked vanilla with a heavy, syrupy body. Made for anyone who loves a traditional, low-acidity cup that shines with milk.

About This Coffee
Most of our coffees live on the lighter side of the spectrum, but there has always been a culture devoted to the dark side. The traditional European style of dark coffee is still loved across much of the world, and Eclipse is our tribute to it: roasted just past peak sweetness to curb acidity, with a long development that builds heavy body and deeply toasted sugars.
The current crop is a washed Caturra from Colombia. The origin shifts with the seasons, but the brief never changes: we blind-cup through hundreds of Latin American lots and choose only the ones that can stand up to a heavy roast while holding on to sweetness. The result is the dark, syrupy cup you remember from late nights abroad, made to pair beautifully with milk as both filter and espresso.

Because Eclipse is a dark roast, dial your grind a touch coarser than usual to keep the cup smooth. If it tastes harsh or ashy, coarsen and pull back slightly; if it feels thin, grind finer.
How Much Coffee Is in a Bag?
The 283g bag makes roughly 19 filter cups or about 16 double espressos. The 2lb (907g) bag yields around 60 filter cups or about 50 double espressos — plenty of dark, milk-friendly mornings from a single origin you won't find on every shelf.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Eclipse better as espresso or filter?
Both work beautifully. The heavy body and toasted-sugar sweetness cut through milk, so it makes a rich flat white or latte as espresso, and a bold, syrupy mug as filter. If you drink your coffee with dairy, you'll love it either way.
What does Eclipse taste like?
Dark and low-acidity: baker's chocolate, burnt sugar and smoked vanilla with a full, syrupy body and a long chocolate finish. It's a traditional dark-roast profile, not a bright or fruity one.
How fresh is the coffee?
We roast specialty arabica in Kuala Lumpur and ready stock ships within 24 hours. Eclipse is a dark roast, so it hits its sweet spot around 2 to 3 weeks after the roast date.
Will it taste too bitter?
No. Eclipse is roasted just past peak sweetness to tame acidity while keeping the deeply toasted sugars, so it reads as rich and chocolatey rather than sharp. A slightly coarser grind keeps it smooth.
Do you offer free shipping?
