The Garrido family has been cultivating coffee in Boquete, Panama, since 1959. Mama Cata was originally established in 1911, making it one of Boquete's oldest coffee farms, and is now overseen by Teodoro Garrido's daughters, Liliana and Gissell. This Geisha lot was processed as a traditional natural and dried at the family's mill on custom raised beds inside a large greenhouse.

How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?+
This lot is roasted by Proud Mary on the date shown beside the size, and ships about one week after roasting — right as the beans enter their 2-to-3-week peak. Domestic orders typically arrive 1–3 business days after dispatch.
When is the coffee at its best?+
Beans need about 5 to 7 days to degas, then hold their peak from 7 to 30 days after the roast date printed on the bag. Keep the bag sealed, somewhere dark and room-temperature — never in the fridge.
Whole bean or ground?+
Whole bean stays fresh longest, so pick that if you have a grinder. If you don't, choose the grind that matches your brewer and we grind it right after roasting.

Free shipping from RM80 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM150 in East Malaysia. We also ship to Singapore (free from RM200), Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Hong Kong, Australia, the UK and most of Europe — rates calculated at checkout.
