Ships within 1 week after your roast date. 100% specialty arabica. This blend is at its peak 2 to 3 weeks after roasting.

A balanced espresso blend built for milk and sipping

City Limits is a year-round espresso blend of Brazilian and El Salvadoran arabica, roasted fresh in Kuala Lumpur. Honey and washed processing give a sweet, even cup that shines in milk-based drinks yet keeps enough complexity to enjoy on its own. Flavours of black cherry, dark chocolate and brown sugar.

Tasting Notes

Black Cherry · Dark Chocolate · Brown Sugar
Full bodied and round with soft acidity and a sweet, lingering chocolate finish.

About This Coffee

City Limits was built as a year-round espresso blend that delivers a balanced, sweet cup. The current version is a 70/30 split of Brazil Inacio Soares F2 and El Salvador Rodolfo Ruffati Red Bourbon, chosen to keep the blend consistent and fresh by featuring high-quality, in-season green coffee.

This is a direct-relationship coffee. Producers Inacio Soares and Rodolfo Ruffati have been growing the lots behind this blend since 2017, and naming them here puts the focus where it belongs: on the people behind the cup. The Brazilian component brings chocolate and brown-sugar weight, while the El Salvadoran Red Bourbon lifts it with a touch of black-cherry sweetness.

How Much Coffee Is in a Bag?

At an 18g espresso dose, a 250g bag makes about 14 cups (around RM7.14 per cup) and a 1kg bag makes about 56 cups (around RM4.29 per cup). Brew it as filter and you will stretch each bag a little further.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is City Limits better as espresso or filter?
It is built as an espresso blend and is happiest there, especially in milk-based drinks like flat whites and lattes. It still brews a clean, sweet filter cup using the 1:17 recipe above if you prefer black coffee.

What does City Limits taste like?
Expect black cherry, dark chocolate and brown sugar: a full-bodied, sweet cup with soft acidity and a long chocolate finish. Balanced rather than bright, which is what makes it so easy to drink every day.

How fresh is the coffee?
It is roasted to order in Kuala Lumpur and ships within one week of your roast date. This blend tastes its best 2 to 3 weeks after roasting, so it is ready to brew as soon as it lands.

Is it a single origin or a blend?
It is a blend, a 70/30 combination of Brazil and El Salvador arabica from two long-term producer partners. Blending lets us keep the flavour consistent and sweet all year round.

Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Free shipping within Malaysia on orders over RM80.
